I was asked to come up with a branding for a new rental photo studio in cologne by the name of studio schanz; this name simply comes from it’s location “an der Schanz 1a”.

This lofty space stands out with it’s big industrial windows which provide neat shiny shades within the empty interior. Concrete pavements and white walls set the basic colors in the palette and get extended with dark green tones as well as a pastelly bright purple.

Thus, the remaining assets were basic typography and the Logo. Space Mono set the base for Headlines and the Logomark was deriviated from it to be part of the overall appearance. Furthermore this whole CD was based to blow up in social media so it was clearly obvious to start with the smallest applications.

That’s how we ended up with the extended S-Logo.
